as for the what changed in winchester primers about oh 8 years ago (maybe more or a little less) winchester quit coating the primer cups with nickle, supposedly to make them more sensitive. I think it was a cost cutting measure myself but whichever it was I still like the winchester primers best pri...

I like to live dangerously, I dont use anything except Winchester primers and I laugh at their "explosion shield".

Seriously I have mangled primers to the point they were crying, and I have only ever had 1 go off (and that was in a dillon)

I am trying to decide if I want to paint or leave it be. That ruskie red colored stock does not do a lot for me. I guess if I were in a redwood foeest or the painted dessert, or hiding amongst a bunch of bleeding bodies it would be Okay. I thought about urban camo, but aome gray's might be good. If...

It's no wonder this is a popular rifle world wide. It is much more comfortable to hold than the AR. When I get the paint and Furniture refinished I may have to go zombie hunting instead of squirrel hunting. It'll be too pretty for those rabid squirrels. Cool build although I will differ of opinion ...

Re: Interesting change with dual micro charge bar

So I'm loading up some 5.56 for a training class that I have coming up. After about 800 rounds, I start to notice a fair amount of my powder (AA2230) start to accumulate on the base of the powder drop (where the charge bars slide), shell plate and bench. It has been dropping a consistent 23.6 +/- ....

Re: Dillon case lube solved all problems with my press!!!

I had an issue with my Lee Pro 1000, it was extremely hard to pull the case out of the powder through expanding die, and as a result, the press shaked vigorously, primers were jumping all over the place, bullets were falling out of the bullet feeder and everything was a mess. I polished the die, bu...

That rod is supposedly nickle plated already, or so I was told by Mr. Lee when they first started plating them. The original versions of the LM had rods that were not plated and they did not rust. They bent, but did not rust. prs mine is most defiantly not nickle plated, it has some type of paint o...

That is SICK! now all he needs is a linear actuator to run the handle, and then a nice hammock to kick back in while his press makes ammo for him.

OK so has anybody tried this?

I just got my electroless nickle kit from Caswell, and of course I want to try it on something other than a gun first, one problem I ran into is the rod for the case feeder assembly has some type of paint on it that looks great up till the first 200 rounds then it grinds off and leaves it bare metal...

I have real good luck with the adjustable charge bar, but I only use it stacked for larger pistol loads and 223 and any other rifle caliber that it will charge being stacked. I would think that it would work equally well though by itself. What powder are u using?? AA#5 to be honest I didnt dink wit...
