Powder chain/Turret fix
Im a fan of the chain vs the fixed rod for the powder lever return. It has the advantage of being quick and flexible. The annoying thing is the interaction of the powder lever chain with the turret lock down screw and the chain ability to unlock the turret screw. It's almost impossible to tighten th...

M1 Reloads
I've been using FMJ from HI-TECH AMMO. Cheap .10 ea. They can be run slow or hot no leading safer to handle. .30 Need lube no matter what dies you use.

wall thickness
I measured things late last night and the case wall thickness is the culprit. It looks like there the gage is only .0006 to fat so I think I will resize them one more time and maybe stone the gage just to make sure its not just a high spot.

30 Carbine and Lee case trimmer " HELP"
OK So i'm happy as a pig in slop when my case trimmer and Zip Trim arrived here just in time to use them this weekend. I de-primed and resized the cases in anticipation of trimming and reloading. So....... I'm checking this new set up out and fully half the case mouths are to small to fit all the wa...

45 ACP Small Primer Shell Plate
One reason I was looking for an alternative was there are fairly cheap. I've seen them sold for $10-$15 per 1000 as nobody wants to deal with reloading them. Thats cheap enough that they would be a good throw away.

45 ACP Small Primer Shell Plate
I checked with Lee and the said to use the Lg Hole Shell Plate. Oh well I was thinking the primers might slide or tip but without trying it I won't know. But I do know I'm not to fond of primers going off. I know a lot of people just pitch small primer 45's but seams like a waste.

45 acp small primers
I haven't tried it but I was under the impression the the larger primer hole might allow the primers to tip or move off the primer pin as they passed through the shell plate, as there would be nothing to guarantee alignment of the primer with the pocket.

Good Advice for a Newbie
Having finished my first 2000 rounds on the Loadmaster the best advice is start SLOW 1 at a time. Be sure that EVERY operation both down and up allows the lever to travel to it's full stops, if not recheck dies etc. The Arm stop must be what stops the travel not a die. You need to see and feel the a...
