This is very impressive indeed. I've been on the fence for a long time about whether or not to buy a LM with the primer issues keeping me away. That said I've wanted one for a long time, if for nothing else than to be able to load equivalent ammo as a press costing 5x as much. If this mod proves to ...

It is an impressive video, but I'm not convinced there is enough return on the investment. IMO that is a lot of money to spend for a marginal increase in speed... but each of us prioritizes how to spend our own money. I've surely wasted more on lesser things.

I've always wondered how 9mm and 40 can use the same shellplate. I understand that the case retainer makes up for the difference in diameter for RETENTION, but the center points are obviously different. The case retainer would actually make this worse since it doesn't "center" the brass bu...

Any idea on the roller handle price? I didn't see it on the website and I didn't see a price in the 2012 catalog.

Has anyone checked with Lee to see if the new roller handle on the P1K can be fitted to the ones that are already out there? I'll send Lee an EMail but don't expect a response before next Monday.

Whoa, whoa. Lee has a roller handle now? Got a link?

I believe the Pro 2000 and progressive Ammomaster do use the same star manual index wheel. I was looking for an Ammomaster and this is one thing I looked up. I don't mind the manual indexing, but I'd prefer 5 stations over the 4 on the much more popular brand. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?p...

I take my hat is off to rowe_s and BigRick and anyone else who displays the kind of ingenuity shown here... especially when they then go on to show the rest of us how it was actually done.

Thanks.

Rick, thanks for the pictures. That makes a ton more sense now.

So if I understand you correctly, the cases are inserted by manually pushing the slider with your right hand and the slider is retracted back to the starting position by the rubber band?

Re: 223 Case Feeder

I have been working on my case feeder for 223. I have stacked small slider on top of large slider, shaped the front edges ... and returned with a case dropped ready for the next one. Yeah, that sounds awesome... but I just can't visualize this. Is there any way you could post pics or a video? -StaT...

Well I've never tried this on my turret, but I assume because it wouldn't smash it into the existing primer unless you "push to prime" (which you would only do every 4th pull of the handle).

Again, this is just a guess since I can't see the primer cup very well on the video.

I can't tell that either, but from the camera angle I find it difficult to tell when the primer is actually being transferred to from the magazine to the priming ram. For all I know it could always feed a primer, and since he's only pushing to prime every 4th pull then it only feeds another every 4t...

That looks like a clever idea. Any chance we could convince you to post a video somewhere? I'd love to see the manual case inserter in action!
