Could not resist the urge - ordered a single stage, too

Started seeing the benefits of depriming separately and broke down today and ordered the basic lee reloader press (90045), a set of shell holders (90198) and the universal decapping die (90292). I have decided I like to deprime prior to cleaning (wife just bought me the Frankford Arsenal tumbler/cle...

the Browning Double Action has been on my list of I wannas for a long time. Always was a very appealing pistol in my book. Of course your Beretta 92FS is on that same list. That swap would have required some consideration. Seems like the BDA has some feature where it can be switched between single/d...

I am using the auto disk. I am going to see if I can find some Winchester WSF as it supports my preferred 9mm load (124 grain FMJ) and some options for .45 acp. However, it is going to take forever to learn bullet nomenclature. For instance can regular FMJ and HDY FMJ FP be considered similar? Have ...

Definitely will reduce the flaring. It would appear to be too much

38-special - flaring at powder load

This weekend - after finally successfully trying out my first reloads on Friday - I was reloading some .38 special ammo. I noticed that it is flaring the top of the brass on charging with powder. Of course the next two die take out the flare. I just don't recall it doing that before. Is this right a...

I shot my first glock sometime last year and honestly I liked it. I handled a 26 and it compared favorably to the Taurus 709 I had at the time (traded it). I may own a glock someday, but not in any real hurry.

Taurus makes one and it is a pretty solid piece of equipment - a lot tighter than my RIA.
The manual on the Taurus makes a reference to 124 grain ammo, but does not necessarily specify it. I have been shooting 115 grain but will probably start loading 124 grain soon.

Most enjoyable rifle I own is my Remington Model 8 in .35 caliber. Fun gun to shoot. My Winchester 1894 in 30-30 is close behind. Someday I hope to own a M1 Garand. Most enjoyable pistol I had was a CZ 2075 in 9. Now my current favorite 9 is a Taurus 1911. I enjoy my RIA .45 acp 1911, but not nearly...

Either of the two guns you traded for sound interesting to me - both of those are on my "i wanna" list. Maybe a PPS instead of the P99, but I would gladly accept that model, too. Take your 9mm ownership frenzy to a new level - get a 1911 in 9mm. Traded a 9mm Taurus 709 for a Taurus 1911 in...

minimum length for 9 mm or any round

My guides have references to maximum length for a completed round, but no reference to minimum length. The rounds I have been loading, I have been loading to more or less match maximum or within .01 below. But my 9mm rounds are significantly shorter. Do I simply verify I have seated the bullet to a ...

talk about feeling like an idiot - safety prime

Was having troubles getting my safety prime to feed my small primers - no matter how I placed them on the tray, they would load upside. So I gave up, bounced an e-mail to Lee customer service and they said send us the old one we will send a new one. Well, I was sitting there watching a video on relo...

well now you tell me (:
Looks just like it. Thought I was doing good with the RCBS as it was about $10/15 cheaper than at the big name store nearby.

I learned a lot more this thread - again. I would probably go with an option that would allow me to use the single stage for reloading rifle, too, the cast model would probably be my choice. But I think I will try to get proficient at loading pistol rounds with the turret press before I buy another ...

Visiting family in Houston I ran across a store called 10ring - it has just about all the lee equipment made. What a store. Anyway, I went ahead and bought the RCBS 505 scale - looked at the 1010. They have the electronic scale I want (the Frankford Arsenal model) and may go back and get it tomorrow...

Dies for my turret work with a single stage?

Have not really got going very far with my turret press (loading a whopping 20 rounds - 10x .45acp and 10x .38 special), but considering adding a lee single stage press for de-priming and priming, etc. and possibly for loading some rifle rounds. Can I interchange dies between the single stage and th...
