Re: side to side play in Carrier

The Through Bolt may need tightening and / or Carrier may need adjusting .

If you take this apart , also wash all the primer residue from the onside of the ram .

Now , the shell plate slack can be adjusted by adjusting the flipper on the index bar .

Re: "Eventful" morning on the press

Was loading 9mm and somehow (?) Managed to send a case with old primer still in it to station 2. (Que suspenseful music) Handle came down, turret went up....BANG! Ahhhhhh, that was "exciting". Next "event" has stopped reloading :(. The case feed crank slider wore out. The up pre...

Re: Case Feeder Parts?

I modded 1 or 2 of the cylinders . I removed the 1/4" x 20 tpi screw that is used to adjust the " height " of the cylinder . I replaced it with a longer screw , so I could use the case feeder with longer / taller cases .

Re: Convert LoadMaster to load 223 or buy single stage or turret?

Since I have more than one AR , I use a small base sizing die . This also de-primes the brass . If are you going to use brass with crimped primer pockets ? If so , you are going to need to swag / ream the crimp from the primer pocket . Once you get that taken care of , the brass will have to be chec...

Re:

After 25 years with a LM, I'm on my third carrier. The latest was an FC 9mm once fired that didn't punch out the primer all the way. I forced the press too much and cracked the carrier at the pivot arm. After ordering a new carrier, I thought about a way to reinforce this week area. I took a SS fen...

Re: Case Feeder Parts?

I think I have all the case feeder cylinders Lee makes . A - One with a long metal insert ( rifle ? ) . B - One with a large opening ( pistol ) . C - One with a small opening ( pistol ) . I have the short and the tall sliders . I also have a tall slider with a home made wooden " extension "...

Re: Well , I finally did it

I am satisfied with the chain . Simple , inexpensive solution .

If you wish to use something different , have fun . Be happy . :-)

The reason it broke is operator error . :-(

Case Feeder 9 x 19 mm

Having problems with the case feeder not pushing the case all the way into the shell plate . Been adjusting the " bolt " that holds the square angled " bar " . Still have not solved the problem . Many thousands of rounds through this press . Wondering if the plastic piece that sl...

Well , I finally did it

Finally broke the " toilet chain " linking the powder measure to the press ram . I dumbed up during a caliber change . 100% my fault , not that of the press / powder measure / chain . Both parts were too short to continue working . Did not have a chain coupling to re-join both pieces . Off...

Primers

This weekend I decided to finish loading 9 x 19 mm , at least to the extent that I had bullets . Loading some Powder Coated cast lead bullets my cousin had given me , using Unique . LM was still set up , from the last session . Well , I started to crank out loaded ammo . A little while latter , I no...
