Only trying to help re:Priming

I know there are several very knowledgeable folks here and I consider this forum the bible when it comes to Lee which is my preferred press(s). I had a world of headaches priming .45 ACP a few months ago. Came here and read and re-read every post under all the different presses. Took my press apart,...

I'd buy one. I wonder if a shim could be made to go between the turret and the press? Of course I wonder about a lot of things.

All I've done is order extra's when ordering parts. Remember, it's a Lee! Replacement parts aren't necessary! (VBG).

Here's another thought, but only if you can bolt to the floor. I used a free-standing tool stand like the type used for a bench grinder. My operation is in my converted garage (cave) and I used "redhead" threaded inserts. When reloading season is over, I pack it up and have a flat floor ag...

I just loaded 100 rds with Winchester and lived to tell about it. I have to admit it's even more fun loading when your life is on the line! Who knew? Seriously, it actually felt "easier" loading .45 acp than the .40! Anyway, I ordered and rec'd a complete .45 setup less the dies I had from...

Thanks guys. I've assumed that the non recommended primer brands might be more hazardous due to some design issue with the LM. But I think the warnings are in all my different die instructions. So now I ask, has anyone here had any mishaps using sny primers of any brand? I'm up to 10 or 15K, and not...

Why does Lee specify primers?

I went to my LGS, got my 45 acp tips and went to buy CCI primers. They didn't have any and due to Lee saying don't use Winchester or Fed. I left with none. In a pinch I previously bought 5K SPP from Wideners but they took 9 days just to pack and ship. Never again. So why no Win or Fed primers? Thank...

I am one with my press

Rec'd my parts, new primer trough, primer ram springs. decapper. Put in what I needed to return the press to factory, and amazingly it started to work the best yet. I cranked out rds. with zero problems. I'm going to run a few hundred more tonight and see if I was just lucky, or figured out what I'm...

Won't work in North Carolina, there's no duct tape involved! Impressive to say the least. Well done MacTrap!

BTDT

Since getting my first LM I've slapped myself in the forehead so many times it's got a flat spot.

Progress report

Well here's what's been happening. I took each tip from each post and carefully applied it to my press. Most of my issues have been straightened out so huge thanks for every reply. Eventually I'll be able to contribute to those in my position in the future Out of 4 full tubes (88 cases) now only a f...

Don't dump me here. I'm working to solve my problems because I have to believe that other LM owners are having no problems and I'm doing something wrong. Listen to this. After posting the above here's what I found. My spring under the primer assy was bent and probably not doing what it was supposed ...

I forgot to mention primer issues as well. No prime, sideways, upside down. I think I'm going to shave a little off the pin and see what happens. After my last post I loaded the press for 52 rds. 13 bad primes, a couple cases kicked out at the beginning of the tube. I had lowered the case tube to ju...

OK, BTW thanks for the replies. I'm going to lower the feed tube, and add a little tape so that the slider is equal height to the case. I'm going to get some lube to add to the process. And on the shell plate "hop", I noticed after posting it happens just when the index rod starts it's sli...
