I found (can't remember where it was posted) that if you restricting the front of the opening (farthest from the thumb screw) it will force you to move the opening farther back (so it will get under the opening from the hopper better (more) Carefull there is a fine line too much it won't all go into...

Tried the new die last night am now getting case expansion, but the powder die still still not going full travel Kinda tired of messing with it & 9mm's are piling up so I welded an 1/8" bead on top of the pullback lever where it is pulled down by the actuator grinding, filling & polishe...

Received new die & insert yesterday (from Lee)

the insert definitely sits further down in the die
(have not had a chance to switch back to 9mm & try it yet)
looks like there should be an improvement

Lee is sending a new die & Expander
seems the expander is correct length, but measurement from the expander to the top of the die is off
??

after some experimenting
I have found that if I place a small piece of metal (using a big staple)
between the top side of the lever & the actuator all is good
full movement of the powder disc & lots of case expansion
I am waiting for a response from Lee

well the tube is 2.25" (measuring from the bottom of the tube to the beginning of the black casting) didn't think till now I need to measure the expander insert length (anyone happen to have that length handy??) I will recheck the die setup (probably not have a chance till the beginning of the ...

I Was going to try for Picts. last evening
(Phone battery was dead)

So if I wind it down till the cuarge disc starts to move & back off a little, I should be able to measure how much the whole thing drops as I snug it down & that should be how much needs to come off the tube??

Well the tube was all the way in?? I am running at a (happy medium) I don't need a whole lot of expansion (using plated bullets right now) the strange part I see is as I tighten the knurled nut down I can see the powder disc move towards the dump hole, if I tighten to far it will not move back enoug...
