Re: Primer rocker arm not coming back up

I would contact Lee.

They have been known to be very good about warranty replacement of parts.

Re: Hi Folks from Italy !

Welcome Ugo and thanks for your post. You sound like an old-timer like me (82yrs). You and I had a similar background as I was reared by a hunter Dad. My favorite uncle was also a big hunter. I began hand loading for my 30-06 hunting rifle when I was about 20. Since then I have acquired many caliber...

Re: Why???

My 1st guess would be the .223 primer system. So many commercial cases are crimped & are difficult to re-prime. I always have to prep my .223 cases by reaming the crimp & reworking the primer pocket. Off the press case prep is a must for .223. While I'm doing this I just go ahead & re-pr...

Re: changed carrier today

You did good. These LLM's will work but you have to be somewhat mechanical minded to keep them working smoothly. I think a lot of the complaints are from users who have similar problems as yours & they don't know where or how to trouble shoot it. Happy reloading with it for another 24 years! Erle

Re: Small primer slider for older priming system

Actually, my advice to you would be to go to Mike's Reloading bench and invest in his ARS system. Ordering replacement sliders from him is child's play. Excellent advice! Although I'm not sure Mike offers that service any more. It would be worth your time to check with him & see. If not, it wou...

I already have your improvements on both my LLM's and recommend them highly.

Glad to hear that your health is improving!

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...

I think you will really like taking time to check case length & trim & chamfer each case. I also clean out each primer pocket thoroughly before replacing primer. I then precisely measure each powder load. I am still using an old 2-die C-H full length die set for .243. Began reloading with th...

Re: WTB Lee Classic Turret and Load Master

Mike is a retired engineer who loves to shoot and reload. Being an engineer he has devoted many, many hours to trying to improve the Lee Load Master. He is also a super nice guy and is always willing to share what he has learned and tried with others here on the forum. I understand there are a few r...

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...

I reload a lot of .243 but I do it all on my single stage press, mainly because of case preparation. Maybe 100 rounds a year is all I shoot in .243 so I am not in that much of a hurry when I do reload and I like to check each stage thoroughly on each shell I am going to be shooting at game. Someone ...

Re: WTB Lee Classic Turret and Load Master

If you are mechanical minded and don't mind tinkering, I recommend the LLM. I have two. One I keep set up for .223 only and the other one I use for all calibers of my pistol reloading. I have just about all of Magic Mike's mods on both & recommend them highly. I personally prefer to do all my ot...

Re: pro auto disk in station 2 on Loadmaster?

I hurriedly made one out of a small bolt for the RCBS, but it never worked consistently. I later switched to the Hornady powder cop die. It is about half price & comes ready for the .223 cases. The Hornady works differently in that it is a visible guide & does not lock up the press like the ...

Re: pro auto disk in station 2 on Loadmaster?

I have two LLM's so one is set up for .223 only, distributing powder in station 2 & yes, powder check die in station 3. I had to adapt it with smaller punch.

I use my other LLM for all pistol calibers with normal set-up, priming in station 2 & dropping powder in station 3.

Re: pro auto disk in station 2 on Loadmaster?

YES to both questions.

I turned the eye bolt around to the other side of the press & removed the explosion shield.

Re: pro auto disk in station 2 on Loadmaster?

Yes, I have dropped power in station 2 before while reloading .223. To be safe, I removed the priming pin. That lets me use my powder-check die in station 3. I do a lot of case preparation on .223 cases anyway & its not much more trouble to just go ahead & prime before I begin on the LLM. Ne...

Re: Recording load data

I have looked at several but found that they asked you to record so many things that I did not necessarily want or need to keep a record of. I just made my own sheets using Excel & made only the columns I wanted, since I use it to record reloading only. Ended up printing them on 3 3/4" x 6 ...
