Re: Need advice on Loadmsater turret, dies and shell plate size for 223/5.56
Thank you for the info. I got my Loadmaster setup for 223 with the deluxe die kit and auto-drum powder measure. This is my second Lee Loadmaster press. I have been reloading 9mm pistol on the first one for about six years, when I first joined this forum. But do not mind saying that I am new to bottl...

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...
Erle - You know, after thinking about it, I am just going to go with a single press, like you. I think by the time I buy the turret, dies, shell plate, primer system and auto powder charger, it would be more economy to scale. The Lee Precision 90045 - Breech Lock Reloader Press lists for about $35 to...

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...
Ok, thank you for the info. I reload 9mm now on the LLM and am weighing single stage verus progressive. I will need a case trimmer in either case. Reloading for 2 people is why I am thinking of going progressive. When we shoot, we shoot a lot of rounds.

LM Setup for .243 Winchester...
Has anyone setup a LM for Winchester 243? My son and I are shooting 243 more and I do not see a stock LM on Lee's website in this configuration. I do see one sold on ebay with dies and I do not see any reason I cannot do so. I would purchase a shell plate, turret and 4 die set, just like I do for my...

Re: LM Setup Procedure when switching bullet sizes? (9mm)
Just a followup - Either the FCD was never setup correctly, or it did not matter as much with the 115 gr bullets. It was way adjustment. In any event I used the standard setup and that fixed the issue. I only reload 9mm and usually stay with a particular load for while, so this has been a great lear...

Re: LM Setup Procedure when switching bullet sizes? (9mm)
Jim - Thx for the help with all this and I've gathered a lot of valuable info about both my 9mm Pistols and the MAX Col. Please see the info below. Springfield 3.8 XDM-C 9mm - Berries Copper Plate 147 -> 1.2050 MAX COL S&W M&P Shield 9mm - Berries Copper Plate 147 -> 1.2315 MAX COL The Ogee ...

Re: LM Setup Procedure when switching bullet sizes? (9mm)
You bring up several good points and I will look at each. The COL is 1.10 recipe calls for. Most cartridges spin free and it is only a few that stick. I will have to see why and if it is b/c the COL on those is too long and hitting the lands. Also, I will have to go back through the setup on the FCD...

Re: LM Setup Procedure when switching bullet sizes? (9mm)
Ok, thx Jim.
I am using a full length sizing die, but a some rounds are not passing the plunk test.
I think I need to possibly adjust my sizing die, but I have not had to do that much since I set it up a whil eback.

LM Setup Procedure when switching bullet sizes? (9mm)
What is the best way to setup the LM when switching bullet sizes?
I am seeing unacceptable case bulge.
I just went from 9mm 115 Berries Copper to 147 Berries Copper.
I will attach a picture.
Thank you,
Frodo
