Re: Solution to Loadmaster index binding

Great little mod! One of my presses jams from time to time. I'll be adding springs to both of them next time I'm in the shop. Thanks!!

Re: Occasionally crushing cases in my new Loadmaster

I deprime in a single step prior to wet tumbling, then I hand prime with an RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool. When reloading I leave station 1 empty. #2 is the Lyman M die, #3 is the powder drop, #4 is bullet seating and #5 is the Lee Factory Crimp Die. Leaving #1 open prevents crushing case rims if...

Re: Occasionally crushing cases in my new Loadmaster

I'm running a Lee Auto Drum for my powder measure and I have it backed out of the turret just enough that it adds no additional flare to the cases. No additional components needed.

Re: Occasionally crushing cases in my new Loadmaster

Get rid of the Lee flaring die and replace it with a Lyman M die. I use them for 9mm, .40S&W and .45acp. They are much more forgiving of minor differences in case length than the flaring die and I have not crushed a single case out of multiple thousands that I have reloaded.

Re: Case feeder difference

I also reamed out the small feeder to accept .40 S&W cases. Now I don't have to swap feeders between runs of .40 and 9mm. I have a dedicated press for .45.

My adjustable charge bar went in the trash! +1 for the Auto Drum. They are fantastic!

I'll be making a batch of each next week. I'll let you know here when they're ready.

I have a dozen on hand ready to ship. I prefer PayPal, as a gift, so they don't take a bite. My address is websterz@cableone.net. If you prefer paying the old fashioned way PM me for my mailing address. Two tip stops are $20 shipped.

Any interest?

My health has been improving to the point that I am once again able to get in some shop time. Just wondering if there is still any interest in my aftermarket Loadmaster parts. I make replacement case pushers, crank actuators, and a device that helps prevent cases from tipping over. All of the parts ...

Re: Auto drum reset issues

Ditch the chain. The spring in the Auto Drum ejects cases from the die with such authority that you would have to intentionally double charge. I run them on both of my LLM's and a single stage press. No chains in sight!
