One other small advantage of the Pro Auto disc (round) over the Auto disc (square) is that the powder hopper can be rotated to turn it "Off" and the disc emptied prior to removing the hopper &/or to changing powders.

Just to play the devil's advocate, Loading pistol calibers, I have converted My Pro Auto Disc measures from chain to spring return, using powders that make a double charge really obvious and looking in every case Make it easy to catch overcharges, totally worth it to me to get rid of the PIA chain. ...

I'm also using etr7 and can vouch it throws light occasionally. Measured a couple light throws of 0.9 and 1.0 gr, refilled the cases and FIRED them to see the result in a "controlled environment". The first fired was the 0.9 it didn't sqib, but.... http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/j...

I have found that it depends on the powder and the charge weight, very small grain= dense powders (CFE Pistol, HS-6) work very well with the adjustable charge bar, larger grain/flake powders (WSF, Longshot, ETR7, 800X) not so much, especially at charge weights under 5 gr. I was working up a load wit...

New Brass would be a luxury for sure, but it would increase costs above levels I want considering the ammo that I go thru, as it is I will deal with Picked brass from the matches I shoot. I have started a "remedial" brass pile that will get a primer pocket swage and a Hand prime and go bac...

It sounds like you need a creative way to burn more ammo! I have about a 3-500 round per week USPSA habit which translates into a bunch of reloading...otherwise I would shoot myself into the poorhouse

1200 on New LLM

I looked on my Primer shelf last night and realized I have loaded 1200 rounds on my new press. A couple of observations, Had a handful of primer failures in the first 400 rounds, appears to be mostly crimped primer pockets that would have likely failed muster in my old process as well (hand Priming)...

Eliminating the Chain

I have converted all my Pro Auto Disc powder measures to spring return... these two parts from Lee will do the trick. learned to hate the chain with the Pro1000.

Spring: AD2296
Lever: AD2309

Cost: $2:50 the shipping will be more than the parts but it all in all it's less than $7

Never needed a baffle . Try to keep the powder hopper at least 1/2 full , or more . My disk measures typically hold + - .1 grain repeatability . If you wish to get it down to the last knat's whisker , buy a double disk kit . On larger amounts , use it as a double disk setup , with the larger disk c...

Hello from Wisconsin

Hi All! New to this forum and the loadmaster...some great information on here, received my LLM Last week, and got it set up with the info here, ordered the primer mods from Mike, setup the bullet feeder and have about 800 rounds loaded already! My old setup was a Pro1000 with the priming system remo...
