They are too tight. I emailed Lee Precision thinking that surely they would have a shell holder that would fit the odd ball cases... NOPE! They told me to send in my shell holder and some sample cases and they would modify it. I'd rather not do that to my shell holder that works perfectly for my .22...

Loading 380 and case/shell plate issues Fiocchi and Perfecta

Just started reloading for a new Beretta Pico 380. I'm using the same shell plate as for the .223, as suggested. Most cases work just fine but I'm having problems with the Fiocchi and some Perfecta cases. They don't seem to fit into the 4s shell plate. Is there another shell plate that can be used f...

Got a box of Dillon stuff

I received a big box of stuff for a Dillon 550 from a friend. There were three dies sets with holders and powder measures for 9mm, 300 WinMag and 44 Mag. Also a Lee 45 ACP die set. Also got an old brown Redding balance scale, which I like. I decided to try the powder measure from the 9mm set and may...

I got some of the new square, foldable trays. I liked the idea that it had a shutoff for installing it on the Loadmaster.
After trying to use them for about a week, they are going back on the shelf. Too many jam-ups inside the tray.

Sparky45 I received my replacement depriming pins yesterday. I'm recapping/resizing using the same die that got stuck, only using the new replacement pin. I continued decapping the same batch of cases that got stuck, about 200 of them and not a single problem. I took the case feeder off, just in cas...

They offered to ship them here as well. They appear to be the same as the ones that come with the Harbor Freight bins.

.223 Stuck cases

I was reloading .223 and working on the case feeder when a case got stuck in the sizer/decrimper. Not sure why that happened but it SURE is a P I T A. Things were going so well since I started removing the primer crimp with the new RCBS swager combo. After I got the cartridge out of the die it was S...

Since I got the bullet feeder instead of the case feeder, I'm setting it up to feed .223. I'm using the 'smaller straw' inside the larger one and its working fairly well except for toppling a few now and then. I haven't smoothed the top of the case slider yet. I used tape to hold the small straw up ...

Now that I am using my old single stage Lee press to swage 223 primer pockets and repaired my Auto Drum Powder measure I'm getting some consistent results. The rifle drum works fine now with the insert to shorten the length and decrease the volume. Getting consistent 24.7 grain charges with every pu...

Parts for old Lee Press arrived and are installed. I put it to work swaging crimps out of .223 brass, using the RCBS Combo-2 Swager. Worked great!
I then loaded 20 rounds to check the difference. Seems like the primers almost go in too easy now on the Loadmaster.

Horseman
Repair parts should arrive today. I will use this press mostly for swaging .223 primer pockets and trimming with the Lee Quick Trim. Then all other reloading functions will be done on the Loadmaster. Depriming and sizing is also being done on the Loadmaster.

Upgrading old round tray Hand Primer

I have an old hand primer that I picked up and would like to know if parts from the newer hand primer will fit? Mine has the one piece round tray but the lever is more flat and has a rectangular end on it ( put my thumb on that part when using it). I'd like to know if the new clear plastic parts tha...

The press in question Is a Lee Challenger press which was discontinued in 2006. Fortunately new and improved parts from the Breech Lock Challenger Press are on the way and should be here today. The link that was broken will be replaced with a newer steel design. I plan on using this press for trimmi...

Auto Case Feeder Rifle?

Was remembering that when I ordered my Loadmaster for 9mm I also ordered all the stuff for .223... Anyway, I opened a cardboard tube with the rifle case feeder in it, or at least parts of it. I got the CYLINDER/PLATE BF, black plastic part that the 4 stacking tubes go into, 4 inner and outer tubes a...
