Re: 223 in the Lee case collator

I made a mockup in some light PVC on my lathe. Works super, i think 1 in 300 ends the wrong side up. Now my problem is making a proper one instead of this test version (knowing me it's not likely!) http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm153/Chickenthief/Skydning/Til%20andre/R0012399_zpsmwali2bm.jpg ht...

223 in the Lee case collator

I have seen and read umpteen posts regarding setup for loading 223 on the LLM, but noone adresses the case collator and getting the tubes full. I tried last night and it went off like a fart in a diving helmet. Seems the holes are to narrow for the cases to tilt reliably and they'll rather rattle ar...

Anyone modified the Lee bullet feeder for rifle bullets?

It irks me that i can set up a progressive for 223 but i have to fiddle with those small bullets by hand.
So has anyone modified the Lee bullet feeder to work with pointed rifle bullets?

Are you using the inserts?
For the smaller diameter bullets Lee provides some extra clear tubes that slide into the standard ones and that took care of my 9mm problems.

Or you could start using a standard case holder from your single stage press.
Fits right in you know?

If one doesnt scour this site for your posts and by that stubmle onto your golden nuggets, then it is plain simply ipossible to order anything from your www as it reveals absolutly nothing as to Lee upgrades!

Come on, throw us a bone ;-)

Just had a Image

What if the powder bridges your through bushing and the reversing of the case/resetting of the powder measure makes the rest spill?

Maybe some internal polishing is due?

Take out the insert and look it over. I had to grind my 45 ACP one to ensure it "cought" the case. Maybe its catching the case crooked and spilling powder because of that. http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm153/Chickenthief/Skydning/Ladeudstyr/R0012155_zpswu3yskx7.jpg http://i295.photobu...

If by "old" you mean the first hand primer Lee manufactured, then the answer is no. It is called the "Auto Prime" & has been discontinued. I have two that I have used for years. Then Lee came out with a model called "Auto Prime XR" & later a model called "...
