I tried the double but with 2230 and did not have issues. However, I switched to a single larger cavity and it seems to works better.

Had the same issue. I cleaned the moving parts with alcohol and then made sure of the chain adjustment and no more issue. Main reason was the chain adjustment, too loose and it sometimes does not reset the measure.

I load 223 like the original post. Sizing is done on my single stage then trimming and primer pocket fixing. Once the brass is ready then I use the Loadmaster to finish the job. I use 22-23 gr of 2230 with a single disk with no issues as long as I correctly adjust the powder measure. I found that th...

Use lizard litter, which is ground walnuts and a little polish. Does not take too long to get the rounds clean.

I use my Midwayusa vibrating cleaner for my finished rounds and it works great to remove any residue and lubricant from cast bullets. I use it on all my rounds with no problems or issues.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I measured the shell holders and found all to be consistent. I tried three different shellholders and all acted the same way. My original thought was the carrier bolt was bent but using a straight edge I checked it and the bolt is straight. I also set the index rod accor...

Carrier issue

Took several months off of reloading and when I was setting up and cleaning for a session, I found an interesting item with the carrier. I adjusted the indexing rod per the instructions and everything looked great until I started watching the shell holder. What I saw was that the shell holder was lo...

Just returned form the range and the 2230 load shot great. Regarding the leakage switching to the standard disk powder measure made the difference. The groups shot today were great. I did not have my chrono today but the last time I checked the load with 21.5 gr produced about 2400 FPS with a 62 gr ...

A little more info. It appears it is a timing issue with expander not correctly setting in the cartridge. I cleaned the interior with alcohol and it works better. I also re indexed the carrier. I also changed out the pro and went back to the plain disk powder measure with a lot better results. It is...

Pro auto disk wth 2230 powder on a Load Master

I have a Pro auto disk that I use for all of my powder with a Load Master. I get great results and ease of use except for 2230 which is a fine ball powder. Regardless of adjustment, I get spillage every so often with powder all over the shell holder and a very low charge in the cartridge. I took eve...
