Re: rounds per hour

Maybe so Bill, but use your google fu for 100 rounds on a LM in 6 minutes and see if it still comes up. The only thing I can say for sure in the video is that the cases came from the case feeder, went around the shell plate and bullets were seated. Powder and priming I have no idea, but I'll take th...

Re: Loadmaster press is better it seems

A bit late on a response Mike. By the way, thanks for yours. I really liked your stabilizer plates and if I decide to keep this one I'll contact you for some more of them. I noticed on your site you don't show the priming parts you used to offer, is this something you no longer do? Just curious. On ...

Re: rounds per hour

I could probably run 5 to 600rph running the LM as a dedicated de-priming machine....maybe. I doubt I've ever run much over 300 while reloading, using any progressive machine. Just has not been a goal. It's just a selling, bragging rights sort of thing to me....a number. Guys say they can load 200 r...

Loadmaster press is better it seems

I haven't been around here much for a year or so mainly because I sold the last two LM's I had. Well, it would seem the LM is an "addiction" I can't seem to shake. Bought another one a couple months ago, new in box, for a very good price (main reason for purchase). I've owned several over ...

Re: New Lee Progressive Press?

It looks like he's using RCBS dies and using the RCBS flare die in station 2 instead of the Lee powder through/flare die.

Re: New Lee Progressive Press?

For some reason, the video won't play for me. Can it be used with the Autodisk or Autodrum powder measures? Either one. If you're interested in one, I'd read some reviews. There's a couple things that don't sound to good to me. One is the carrier has a plastic (?) cover that seems to wear from not ...

Re: Indexing issues

Have you made sure the bolt that runs from the bottom of the ram up to the shell plate carrier is tight. If that is not the problem I would contact Lee and see what their response is. I personally have not seen the issue you mention and I've owned about 8 or 9 of these presses over the years. I can'...

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...

I think you will really like taking time to check case length & trim & chamfer each case. I also clean out each primer pocket thoroughly before replacing primer. I then precisely measure each powder load. I am still using an old 2-die C-H full length die set for .243. Began reloading with t...

Re: LM Setup for .243 Winchester...

Erle - You know, after thinking about it, I am just going to go with a single press, like you. I think by the time I buy the turret, dies, shell plate, primer system and auto powder charger, it would be more economy to scale. The Lee Precision 90045 - Breech Lock Reloader Press lists for about $35 t...

Re: Pro Disk Powder system vs Auto Drum Powder system

What powder were you using? I tried several different powders. I did have good luck with it using 2400 the one time I used that powder with it. The last time I tried using it was loading 223 for a ladder test with CFE 223. Started at 23gr. and it ran pretty well, a tenth or so one way or the other ...

Re: Pro Disk Powder system vs Auto Drum Powder system

Very happy for all you fellas that are having such good results from the Auto Drum measure. I've not been so lucky with the one I bought. The Pro disk measures I have and have had over the years have all been excellent as far as consistency, even using the double disk kit. The AD not so much, very e...

Re: Carrier alignment problem

I think I'm beginning to see your problem. Hammers and reloading presses do not mix, no matter the brand. Did you buy this press new and if so was it "local"...any help there maybe. It's very difficult to trouble shoot and or "tutor" someone by the written word on a reloading sit...

Re: Carrier alignment problem

How in the world did you damage the pins? Those things just slide out when you undo the nuts on the end. IIRC the yoke pin (you are talking about the small pin on the bottom?) will also slide out when you loosen the bottom nut that tightens the carrier. Been awhile since I've had mine apart. You can...

Re: Carrier alignment problem

There was a thread awhile back on the washer issue. IIRC it was from "Daveinflowerybankgeorgia", or something like that. His press was like you mention (mine was also, maybe they all are) but the jist was (we) put the wave washers on all four bolts on both sides. You might pull the carrier...
