Re: indexing rod aperature

When I bought my first Loadmaster I could tighten the shell plate finger tight. After getting everything working properly with the num. 19 shell plate I started on the num. 4 and 2. I had to mill down the Num. 4 and num. 2 shell plates to be able to tighten the shell plate nut. After doing that all ...

Re: double dipping case feeder

To load 40 S&W I filed a taper on the top of the large slider. The taper is only about a 1/2 inch long and tapers to just below the 40 case height. It works great for me.

Re: Carrier alignment problem

It's generally felt that starting reloading with a progressive press is a mistake. I think you should get a single stage press to use until you understand the entire process of reloading ammunition. Throw away the hammer and smoke something to mellow out a bit. A bad temper and a short fuse spell di...

Re: 223 in the Lee case collator

I shake around a container full of cases so they are setting with the case mouth up. Pick up 6 or 8 between the thumb and first 3 fingers. Slide them around over the holes in the collator and they drop easily head first down the holes.

Re: So I've gotten Mike's goodies...

I think the dies with Mike's turret should not touch the shell plate.

Good job, and nice work Mike.
Look at some of your medical bills before figuring out the final charge on this.

It is probably post that you have not read. You can clear these by choosing the "Board Index" then mark as read.

Re: 9MM Resizer/Decapper Die Issues

I have had similar problems. I tightened the decapping pin then used a screw driver to bend the decapping pin to the center, worked ok then.

Re: Case feeder tube lengths

I wanted my 40S&W tubes a little longer so they would hold an even 25 each. To splice a tube I cut a 1-1/2" piece of an old tube, split it on one side, slide it onto the long piece and the short new piece I wanted to splice on, wrap the splice area securely with electrical tape. When I star...

You may have to remove bers from the index rod to work properly.

They are almost flawless for that function. I have mostly been shooting my Henry rifles lately Gary. I got a Henry Big Boy 45 colt, and a Henry "Small Game Carbine" in 22 LR. I have been feeling better lately and have more guns I am wanting to shoot. I need to shoot so I can do ...

Re: Issues with new Lee parts

When receiving a part back from any manufacture I usually feel better receiving the corrected original part instead of a new one that might be bad too but was just tossed into the box as a replacement.

Re: Issues with new Lee parts

Sounds like the problem is in the shell plate. Put any old free turning shell plate that worked on and operate the press with the new flipper lever. That should determine where the problem is coming from.

Re: Case feeder nightmare

I always enjoyed "do it yourself projects" so I made my Loadmasters run myself. The case slider for instance is 2 standard case sliders epoxied together with a light piece of aluminum 3 inch long. the 2 crank sliders allow the rod to always exit the center of the load preventing any bindin...
