Bottle-neck cases are different from the straight-wall pistol cases. I ran into this with .223 as well as 357sig. The .22 is so small it has to have a small drop tube that does not expand the case. Rifle case expansion is done in the sizing die. Here is what you need: (1) LONG CHARGING DIE #90194 (N...

They are not expensive but I would say "don't waste your money!" Not if you have some of the round ones. New ones are supposed to have a lock that holds primers in tray while inserting, but the latch has to be in just the right spot or they will still spill. Wish it was a "revision&qu...

If by "old" you mean the first hand primer Lee manufactured, then the answer is no. It is called the "Auto Prime" & has been discontinued. I have two that I have used for years. Then Lee came out with a model called "Auto Prime XR" & later a model called "E...

Sounds to me like you are talking about a "BULLET FEEDER" instead of a Case feeder. I don't have a bullet feeder but know that it is different. Every "CASE" feeder I have has the long bolt & nuts on it. From looking at pictures I don't believe the "Bullet" feeder ha...

Re: Pro autodisk and CFE223 on LLM

I think the case hits the insert in the die in an odd way causing the spill. I remember having the same problem in setting up my .223 dies. Best I can remember is that I had the powder through die adjusted wrong & powder would begin dropping before the case mouth had made a good seal against th...

[quote="THRASH"]...like what Lee will likely be doing soon on their next gen LM primer troughs/[quote]

O.K. If that's what you want to think. SOON?

I can tell you haven't had much experience with Lee.

Just keep on dreaming, but don't hold your breath while waiting!

Slight difference in the indexing knobs on bottom of shell plates that strike the indexing rod differently. Lee's standards vary quite a bit & as long as it's in the "ballpark" it's o.k. with them.

I use a hair dryer to heat things like that to keep from getting it too hot. I heat it until it bends in place & hold it together until it cools. Like I said, I just usually wrap a rubber band around the trough & over the primer tray. Except on one small trough I bent the top tab down with a...

Re: Indexing Problem

I'm still a novice with the LM. RAN 9mm and 45acp without any indexing problem once i got it set right woth the 45s. Switched plates to try 223 rem and the indexing went off for some reason. I played with the flipper in/out a couple of times and it started indexing again. Not sure what's going on. ...

Don't hold your breath for Lee to make any rash improvements like that to accommodate any of us! My experience with Lee has been "what you see is what you get." To their credit, Lee's goal from day one has been to provide workable equipment at as low a price as possible. They have never ma...

Put in a "search" for websterz here on the forum & email him. I don't believe he has a website yet. His mods help smooth case feeding after getting MM's mods to help get your press working properly.

One of my secrets to successfully operating the LLM is to go SLOW & EASY. (Sometimes I forget & that's when the MM primer system messes up) That was after I had forgotten once! The other day when I went to load up some new primers I noticed that the new primer tray had backed out some. I now...
