Re: LLM CASE FEEDER SHUT OFF

What I do is use a piece of metal (in my case I use a 6"piece of #12ga copper wire with a L bent in one end) and push the presenting brass back into the feeder tube and then turn the feeder tube column to a position that is half way between the drop position.

Re: Berry's bullet question

I cast all my bullets. I have 4 different molds for the 45 Auto from 160 to 230gr. With autoloader pistols I use the plunk test most of the time but for one of the 230gr bullets I seat it to a depth to fit the magazine, (it is seated deeper than seems appropriate). In other words I've never been to...

Re: What dies for .45 Schofield?

http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb351/glynnm1945/UniChart_zpsqirf66kf.jpg Here's a pic of the universal shell holder chart that you are referring to. Indeed the 45 Colt is able to use the #11 and #14 shell holder (just tried it). The 44/40 only uses the #14 shell holder, again I just tried it. ...

Re: What dies for .45 Schofield?

" I've loaded Schofield with Lee 45 Colt dies no problem. Seat and crimp work fine but, as you already know, the shellholder didn't work. I scrounged and used one of my other Lee holders (303 Britt I think) and it worked just fine." I must have read the #5 post differently than you, I read...

Re: What dies for .45 Schofield?

Here's Lee's 45 Schofield Die set(http://www.titanreloading.com/45-schofield-3-die-set-carbide). Seems to be fairly specific for just the Scholfield cartridge. I did some looking around and found this forum post that might answer your question. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/45-colt-d...

Re: What dies for .45 Schofield?

Here's what I used for 45 colt; RCBS Cowboy Carbide 3-Die Set 45 S&W Schofield, 45 Colt. Excellent dies and Midway has them for about $64. Treat yourself, it's Christmas.

Re: Bullet feeder mod to prevent bullet drops

Jim; I use Rainier plated 9mm bullets on my LLM, but I use a Hornady Bulllet Feeder Die. They are inexpensive and do a reliable job.
