Water chilling of lead alloy depends upon the amount of antimony and at least a trace of arsenic. If I want to chill, I add a small amount of magnum shot shell shot to the pot to assure the trace of arsenic is there. I usually drop boolits onto a folded terry cloth as my alloy settles to BHN 12 any way, which is about ideal for .45ACP
