New billet aluminum turrets ready

Postby magic mike » Sun May 18, 2014 5:10 pm

Hello All;

I have a small supply of my new billet turrets in stock at this time. They are available on my website (http://www.mikesreloadingbench.com) I am very pleased with how they turned out. I did go ahead and have a counter-bore added to the center hole to accept one of the little LED flashlights and each turret will come with the five 1/4-20 set screws and jam nuts. You won't find any ill-tapped holes in these turrets!

The full write up will be on the webpage which I will post shortly. Meanwhile here are some pics for your entertainment.

Also, the next order of Turret Stabilizer plates I get in (which should be in the next week or so) will have a center hole and five holes for access to the set screws in the turret.

Will you ship internationally perhaps?

I'm sorry, but at this time it is not practical for me to ship outside the continental US.

It's a work of art, down right purty. I got mine in the nail yesterday. I plan to try it out as soon as my bullets come in, of which I ordered at the same time. Mike is faster than https://www.xtremebullets.com/.

Dillon's tool heads

Postby rrgramps » Thu May 22, 2014 9:35 am

My 550 toolheads have enough play to warrant this fix also. Mike, there is an aftermarket opportunity for other presses out there. :D :D :D

Adding set screws to the toolheads and a stabilizer plate might help the Dillon toolheads for better COAL. There are a few designs out already, but I think your design has better merit.

I'm hoping the new design Stabilizer Plates will be ready by the end of next week. I was told no later than the 9th of next month but they usually get things done ahead of schedule.

Sorry fmj3, I've got the price as low as I can get it and make it worth while for me to do it. Tell ya what, you buy the plates and I'll throw the setscrews in free. :wink:

Changed my 9mm dies over to one of the new turrets last night, using my existing turret plate. Loaded up 50 cartridges without a hitch. Center hole was too large for my "Sharp" light, but the Plate hole I had drilled made it work fine.

Thanks again, Mike

Way to fix the too large center hole if using a smaller light is to take a cork, install in the hole then drill to the size and angle you need to make it work. Gives a lot of versatility that way.
