New Lee Auto Drum for Christmas

Postby llangston1 » Mon Jan 02, 2017 9:04 pm

I got a new Lee auto drum powder dropper for Christmas and have been playing around with it off the press. I have not installed it on my LLM yet but I already have a question on how it works. Namely should I been able to operate the drum mechanism by hand off the press. Mine seems to be locked up tight and no amount of pressing on the end the shell makes contact with will move the drum. So what am I doing wrong? Is there a shipping lock/screw somewhere that I have not seen yet? I did not see anything in the instructions about removing anything.

It is just an extremely strong spring. Without having the mechanical advantage of the press there's no way you're going to activate it by hand like you can the Auto Disk. Once you mount it to the press you'll find it to operate very smoothly. I have three of them and they are worth twice what I paid, and I paid retail.

I'm with Websterz all the way.

I have two & properly installed & properly adjusted, they do a good job for the money.
