I don't have a classic turret, but on my ancient 3 hole manual index, I load my 223 without any mods. Well I pretty much have use it in a "batch" style operation because it seems that disk powder measures don't do real good with my main 2 powders, Varget & IMR.4895. I know most people just use ball powders if they use a disk measure but those powders shoot so darn good I cant bring myself to ditch them.

I suppose the only mod I could think of is getting myself a perfect powder measure, for the money they are supposed to be much better with the stick powder. Unless I wanted to spring for a redding Benchrest powder measure.

I used to do them on a Lee 3 hole turret press. a lot of people do different prep work. (Still do the same prep work with the Load-Master.)
This is what I did with the 3 station press.
Procedures:

1. Clean brass
2. Lube brass.
3. Run through full length sizing die with expander/decapper removed.
4. Run cases through case cleaner with media to remove the lube.
5. Use a Lee neck-sizing die to deprime the case and expand the neck.
6. Trim to length.
7. True, swag, and chamfer primer pocket.

3 station turret press was setup this way.....
station 1 = Lee neck-sizing die.
station 2 = powder measure with double disk kit. (very accurate with ball powder)
Station 3 = Dead Length Bullet Seating Die.

thanks steve
