Lee Pro 1000 - - Stuck in Up position

Postby AnejoKid » Mon Dec 31, 2012 7:12 pm

hey all.

I was reloading yesterday and everything was going fine. I had full range of motion in both up and downward positions until I went to the full UP position and then brought the handle downwards. The only problem was that the press stayed in the UP position as the handle and spindle came down.

I had to get a screwdriver and wiggle it free but it simply got stuck again in the next cycle.

Does anyone know why this would have happened? Not only did it cut my reloading session short but it kind of makes me think something fundamentally is now wrong with the press.

Thanks

My friend brought his over, i never could get it running. Its laying around his house. I bought LLM first and LEE CTP last, they are the best. someone will be here to help you cause "it aint me".. You could box it up mail to lee and tell em you want loadmaster or classic turret, tell em you are not happy. Or maybe you are! If not call kathy wensday and tell her your story, if ya dont like it. You would not owe much money for other choices.

I jusdt watched a video of the classic turret and I think that is probably more along the lines of what I would like. I will call Lee and see what they say about an exchange or upgrade. Thanks for your response.

Also, if anyone else has experienced what I have in my initial post, I would appreciat it.

Thanks!

i dont know it all, you would like the CTP. They will take it back and you keep your dies and powder measure. Your not out much money.

Two risers, bullet feed, ejectors are 17 dollars on ebay. I promise you it does not move that much at all. The iphone 5 accelerates movement that much. Iam buying two steel plates thursday that will be drilled at machine shop. One for LLM & other for LCTP. Plates will be 3/8 inch.

Trying to understand your original question/statement here.....
Your saying on your Pro1000 you pulled the handle down and the carrier assembly went up. Then you pushed the handle in and the ram came down with the carrier assembly somehow hanging to the underside of the die plate?
