Need help

Postby glock40sw » Sat Mar 20, 2010 1:51 am

G'day All.

I have inherited a Pro1000 that was in parts.

I have it all back together but there is a small part missing.

The black plastic lever the gets actuated by a case to allow the primer thru sits on a small steel sleeve, that allows the arm to move freely even when the screw is tightened.
I need to know the dimensions of this steel sleeve so I can make another one.
If some one can measure one for me (in mm) for all dimensions and PM me, would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hooroo.
Regards, Trevor.

Look at the parts list for Pro1000 with pictures. Lee main page->products->pro1000->serv parts for your cal. The link is for 9mm press.

http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog ... 5283=90640

Plastic lever that you are talking about is named there "case sensor TR2548", and the steel sleeve, which you need dimensions for, is "sensor bushing TR2550", right?

I will try to check with my friend that has the press, but this may take a while. Maybe somebody else can post the dimensions way faster.

BTW, you can order the part online from the above Lee page. The total is (in US$) 1$ for the part + 4$ for processing + 35% for international shipment.

If you haven't gone to this website, you are missing out on some great instructional video's.

http://www.sanfranciscoliberalwithagun.com/pro1000.html

I took apart my carrier/shellplate setup yesterday and without the video I don't think I could have done it right. Talk about dirty --- well it runs just like new now.
Give it a look.

I have finally got a response from the friend.

The sensor bushing shape is two cylinders: one (wide) on top of another one with a hole on the axis. Nothing extra. Sizes below are in millimeters.

Top (wide) cylinder diameter: 7.91
Bottom (narrow) cylinder diameter: 5.62
Center hole diameter: 4.38
Total height (two cylinders together): 4.83
Top(wide) cylinder height: 1.08

All other dimensions can be calculated from the above. The press is fresh new, so the bushing dimensions should be very close to factory specs.
