Lee Die Sets reorganized - all bullet seat dies changed.

Have you wondered why Lee introduced new Die Sets?

Well me too, and from a question asked on CastBoolits this is what I determined.

All die sets(Except Pacesetter 2die) now feature Dead Length bullet seaters.
(no crimp)

You can only get a roll crimp bullet seater with a Pacesetter 2 die set.

You NO LONGER get a roll crimp bullet seater with the RGB sets.

Effectively the roll crimp bullet seater is now $10 more.

Yeah. I WAS buying RGB sets for less frequently loaded calibers, but wont anymore.

I shoot mostly cast lead, so I want a roll crimp on my rifle rounds.

Seems like it would just be easier to sell the roll crimp die seperately.
Actually sell them all seperately, and I'll put together the set I want.

mt, thats what i do too!

l load pistol only, those open seater's just push the boolit dwn (less shaving) and then last step is FCD which l have good luck with. Seems the cartridge gage always works.

l have mixed-matched dies in lee & 1050

Maybe it's because their FCD dies are getting more & more popular. They not only reshape but they crimp too. I don't like what they're doing either, but it makes perfect marketing sense from a $$$ standpoint.
