Where to get plastic bins?

Postby Blademaker » Sun Jun 28, 2015 12:21 am

Anybody have a source for 2-3 plastic bins used to catch rounds? I've got a couple, but would like to get a few more as I use them under my star sizers as well. Just hate to pay what Lee's asking for them.

Thanks

Thanks, but Uline has them for 1.05$ per bin for three of them. Don't need the bracket, or if I did it's easy enough to make one.

Thanks

Unfortunately I found they have a minimum order of 24. And 20$ shipping. Still comes out to about 2$ a bin. I think I saw some at Gander for 4$, will just pick a couple of them up me thinks. The 13-14$ a bin is a rip off.

I have been buying blue ones at Scheels for about 5.50 each. They are twice as long as the red ones.

I've found several while ridding around that were a bit larger or longer. However I like the size of the ones I got, just rite for me. When there full it's either time to load ammo, or time to wipe the ammo off and put in plastic cases.

I wound of ordering a box of them, 24, from Uline. Still comes out to be rite at 2$ a piece. At that price I figure what I don't use in the loading room I will add to my bolt bins in the shop.

Amazon has a six pack of them for $13.00 with free shipping if you have Prime.

Well crap. I looked on amazon and the same model listed showed 13$ for each, I figured they meant 13$ for each piece, not a six pack. If I'd seen that I would have gotten it instead of the 24 pack I got coming.

Actually got that set mounted in my shop, but there all pretty much full of bolts, nuts, ect. I actually thought about getting another set, wasn't aware they were that cheap.

Ah well, the Akro I've got coming will work in the shop as well as the loading room.

I know this is an old thread, but there are few individual bin sources out there, but here is one (lots of sizes):

I've had a set of those Harbor Freight ones I use in the garage for years. The plastic is a bit more brittle than the AkroBins that come with Lee presses, and they stack differently.

I've found that Menards carries quite a selection and they also match the AkroBins that came with my Lee presses. They stack the same (sliding together to interlock) and also have the little grooves inside for dividers. They are about $1 each and come in red, black, blue, yellow, or green.

My local Menards have these on clearance for $6.99. It includes 4 grey bins which are the exact same size as the ones that came with my press, and 4 black ones with are the next size bigger.

The ones identical to the ones that come with Lee presses are on sale for $0.84 each.

If you can't make hanging brackets from some scrap metal, Menards also sells 12" plastic bin hanging rails for less than $1 each. I use these and cut them into 4 sections to hang 4 bins.

You can have them shipped to home. At least when I click on the links I posted it offers that option.

EDIT: Maybe I see the option because I have a local store selected as my store.

They offered to ship them here as well. They appear to be the same as the ones that come with the Harbor Freight bins.
