People openly carrying at presidential events?
In one way, I think it's the greatest thing ever. It's showing that guns aren't bad and the more comfortable people are seeing guns, the better.
But boy, this could go SO bad, and there is nothing the "good guys" will be able to do to control it.
What if an assassin uses this opportunity to take a shot at Obama, or heaven forbid, actually kill him.
ALL gun ownership rights will be GONE in about one day. I wouldn't put it past anti gun groups to get somebody to wave a gun (whether loaded or not) around in order to "light the match".
Everything that doesn't fit in the other forums. Keep it civil.

I agree this would be the match that lights the world...I personally am not a real fan of open carry--I think it should be legal, and is appropriate for hunting and personal protection in certain situations. But for a presidential visit, I think it sends the wrong message and might just encourage the political nut-cases.
