Ammosmith has a video on glue stick bullet. Anybody done this? sounds interesting with just a primer for in home practice.

Actually he has two.

The old one is for 45ACP, which is loaded with cut-off glue stick pieces.

Glue sticks are available in .45" and .30", which in addition to shown 45ACP should work for 30-32 caliber guns.

In the new one he casts glue stick bullets with a mold.

This works for any caliber, but the video shows that glue bullets are sticking hard to the mold. I would like to try, but would like that somebody else confirmed that this does not affect the mold.

The idea is great, but it seems like a lot of work to me. Here is one of the comments of the video

That's all interesting, but a waste of time. For $13.00 you can order "X-Ring" rubber bullets from MidwayUSA. You can get them in many bullet diameters. No case modification. For my 45acp, I just seat a primer into an empty case, press in the rubber bullet with my finger and shoot! For an auto, you have to manually insert1 bullet into the barrel. For real training, I lower my crimp die and put a heavy taper crimp. This allows for hand cycling out of a magazine.

Here's a link to .45 version.

They are hollow. I think I might try some.
