collator musings

Postby Jim_Duncan » Tue Nov 29, 2016 1:52 pm

found a few hundred pieces of .40 S+W brass already primed up. i squirrel things away from time to time. so i pulled the collator mod out of the collator and just decided to see what kind of results i would get by filling the tubes and cycling the press through them three times. out of three fills i found only 1 upside down piece each time. so about 1 mouth down per 100. the extra weight of the primer probably contributed to the ratio. i can live with that. :)

i did MM's collator mod today. 2" plastic variable height deflector and had 0 upside down cases in 4 complete tube fills. 16 total. very efficient.
