Just figured this one out. Obviously the fix is to make the holes smaller. I have tried the plastic and screw bit and although effective difficult to keep around when you need it and it takes a lot of cutting to the right size.

Try this, easy breezy and effective. All you need it a penny and .22 casing. drill a hole in the middle of the penny. slide .22 case through hole. If hole is loose solder the two together. Trim .22 case length so that the penny lays flat in the collator. Done, every shell falls right side up.

I don't understand. Can you post a picture with it in place?

Thanks,
Steve

Absolutely, sorry should have done this to start.

Its just like the plastic screw fix but a bit more sturdy and easier to keep track of. I have thought about selling a DIY kit for $10. Very Happy

I was going to send you the 10 bucks, but I notice you furnish Federal cases and I am kind of fond of Winchester. So made something similar. Thanks for the Idea, it helps with 380s.

Wow! That one was worth the price! I tried the holes in the plastic, which worked, but really slowed down the process. Next, I tried the 15cm square. That worked better, but would rotate and cause a problem.
I just did this. It works great!
The hardest part was finding a .22 in this house to fire a shot for the brass. Each time a kid moves out they take the .22! Confused
I finally found an old AR7 in the guest room closet.
I just made a donation in your name to my Cool Communal Beverage Fund.

I made two of these - one for my Load Master and one for my friends Pro 1000 and they work great. What an excellent idea - and exceuted in the spirit of Lee inginuity and economy. Thanks!

A great fix, the biggest challenge was getting the hole drilled in the center of the penny. But I got it and it works great loaded about 300 9mm tonight with the fix.
