WOW, OK Black Powder it is, 400 to 500 yards, you with PEEWee and I take my Springfield 1888 trapdoor! Rolling Eyes Wink Laughing I don't own any winter clothes so can we do it in the Phoenix area, it's 75 outside now! Razz

That's PeeWee holding the gun. My son JD. The gun weighs 17 pounds. He's the only one I know who can put it to his shoulder and hold it steady.

The gun was won in a card game on the Prairie Island Reservation in 1935 and hasn't been fired since, as that bore shows. According to Turner Kirkland at Dixie Gun Works, the starting load would be about 1/4 pound of powder and a quarter pound of buckshot.
Shocked

I decided it would look good hanging on the wall.

Looks like we use the same handgun targets. They are very helpful in learning and teaching control.

I also use a magnifying lamp very similar to yours. Being able to swivel it over whatever job is going on and seeing up close and personal make is one of my favorite bench add on!

How the Load All working for you? I have a son who is crazy about shotguns.
