Lee calls for grease in the areas that see significant pressure, the linkage at the bottom. The ram cylinder does not have much pressure applied and is primarily a sliding force. Light lubrication will prevent galling and help flush fine dust/powder particles away.

The guys smearing a little oil have hit the nail on the head. I had started with regular motor oil the ram would start to drag after 100 rounds. I tried gun oil that had the same results. Grease I feel would dry out and start the ram dragging. I then tried synthetic Mobil one motor oil. Like others have said it lasts at least 2 days. I dont have any STP but when I get some I will give the combo of syn. oil and STP a try.
